Privacy Policy
Stress Less College Apps, LLC collects only the information needed to run its services, does not sell personal information, and does not share it except as described here. Effective date: October 19, 2026.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. Name, email, phone number, student's grade and school, application materials (essays, activity lists, résumés, transcripts or test scores you choose to share), session notes, and messages sent through forms or email.
Payment information. Handled by our payment processors. We receive confirmation of a purchase but not your full card number.
Automatic information. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring site, collected through cookies and similar tools on this website.
Community information. Names, profiles, and posts you share in any online community we run.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and improve our services, schedule and deliver sessions, process payments, send requested products and emails, answer questions, keep records, protect the site, and meet legal obligations. Student essays and application materials are used for coaching and, if you have not opted out, in anonymized form as described in Section 8 of the Terms. We send marketing emails only to people who sign up, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
3. Service Providers and Sharing
We share information only with providers that help us operate, and only as needed to do so. These include website hosting and domain services (Squarespace), scheduling (Calendly), payment processing (Stripe or PayPal), email and automation tools (such as ConvertKit, MailerLite, or Zapier), community and course platforms (such as Skool or Discord), video meeting and email services, and cloud document storage. [Edit this list to match the tools you actually use.] These providers have their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or safety. If the business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner under these same protections.
4. Cookies and Analytics
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work. Where the site offers a cookie banner, you can decline non-essential cookies there.
5. Children and Student Privacy
Our services are designed for students and families, and we work mainly with parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information without that consent, contact us and we will delete it. For students under 18, a parent or guardian may review, correct, or ask us to delete the student's information at any time. We keep student essays and application materials confidential and do not share them with colleges or others unless you ask us to.
6. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, such as password-protected accounts and reputable platforms. No system is completely secure, so please do not email Social Security numbers or full financial account numbers. We keep information for as long as needed to provide services, keep business and tax records, and resolve disputes, and then delete or de-identify it, unless the law requires longer retention.
7. Your Choices and California Privacy Rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, and you can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, to request deletion or correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will respond to verified requests within the time the law allows.
8. Links to Other Sites
This website links to third-party sites, including social media and the colleges we discuss. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
9. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy and will post the new effective date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept it.
